This script is for AmIRC.. It's really useless unless you use WildIRC.. WildIRC fucks up the /sound command and changes it to /sound <nick/chan> then a requestor pops up asking for a soundfile to pla
y.. it sends the soundfile to the channel, but you can't hear it yourself! what good is that? so i made sound.amirx, its practically the same is the normal /sound command with a few added features..
it uses play16 to play the samples and will tell you if a soundfile does not exist, or if you don't have play16, it even will show you a list of all your soundfiles if u want! Download it and try it
out! :) I've made this script to add .wav to whatever soundfile you enter, if u don't like this you can edit the script, if u know what your doing :)
Installation:
Stick sound.amirx in your amirc/rexx/ directory, configure sound.amirx to your needs :)
Add an alias, (/alias sound /rx sound.amirx %p)
Save your AmIRC prefs
Usage:
type /sound <soundfile> <action>
example: /sound crap i'm a load of crap
For a list of your soundfiles type /sound list
This script will automagically add .wav on the end of any soundfile u enter.. if you dont like this you may edit the script but you need to know what your doing :)
